I have a huge collection of DVDs. While i download movies often to save the trouble of converting to .MP4 for my PSP, i also buy the DVD itself most of the time ( unless the movie turns out to be quite bad ).

My latest purchase was a rather cheap one, for just a few euros i noticed a 'Best Of..' bin at the local shop, which contained a 'Best Of Gangsters' 3 DVD set;
Lock, Stock & Two Smoking Barrels
Snatch
Layer Cake

I already owned Lock Stock and had already seen Snatch, i wanted to see Layer Cake ( Daniel Craig ) and the box set was cheaper than the single DVD Rolling Eyes .

I don't have many movies on DVD actually.
I have a few from when I was younger that I bought.
Most of the DVDs I buy these days are all TV shows.
for instance I have all 10 seasons of FRIENDS
and I have the first 3 seasons of Scrubs.
I am planning on getting a few more TV shows too. I generally like to finish a series before I buy another one.
I'm weird in that way.
I wouldn't mind buying Seinfeld.

You and Bluemouth have both stated you own TV shows. Do they air in Australia the same time they air in the States?

The good TV shows are usually impossible to air at the same time in Australia as they do in America as the ratings periods are over different times in the year. Most of our shows from America start here in about February to March so that they can be aired over the school year.
They have tried to air the OC the same time as America this year meaning that it has been airing over the summer holidays. I do not think it has done very well as I am an avid watcher of the show and I have missed out on at least half the season already from holidaying in other states.
We try to get it as fast as possible in the year because Australians hate people ruining our tv shows for us so we basically block out everything american in our tv guides and such so that we get no clue as to what is happening in great rating television shows such as LOST or Desperate Housewives.

Thanks. Yeah, all the shows start here in September just as the school year starts and vacations are ending. keep an eye out for a show called Jericho. It's fantastic. It's about a small town in the States after the country has been nuked several times. Absolutly love it.

I despise the Housewives. They've run out of ideas it's now a joke.

Edso, we had the first season of Jericho last year airing the same time as in the States. It started off really well but then the ratings dipped and I stopped watching it. I liked the first couple of episodes, it just became bland after that. They didn't really characterize very much.

It'll be back for the second season. Actually, it only aired to the halfway point of season 1 due to the end of ratings season. Have you seen the whole of the first season?

No. They only made a few episodes. It got picked up so they had to make more, thats why it doesn't come back on until 2/21/07. If your interested you can watch the shows that did already air on line if you go to Jericho.com. I agree the show did hit a slow part, but it did pick up again.

I've never watched Desperate Housewives. Not my cup of tea.

I have about 800 DVD movies. I couldn't even begin to list them all or all my favorites. Maybe someday i'll take a picture as i have 4 FULL bookshelves. I love my movie collection - a lot of the time i'd rather watch movies then TV - but now i got a PVR (personal video recorder) for TV so i don't miss ANYTHING. My butt is pratically part of the couch!
